Dr. Ádám Mikó - Notary

Dr. Ádám Mikó received his law degree (Juris Doctor), summa cum laude, at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University in 2003. Before his university studies he graduated from high school in the USA. Between 2001 and 2002 he studied two semesters in Göttingen, Germany, where he attended the German Law Faculty of the Georg August Universität. He obtained an English language European law degree, Master of Arts in European Law in 2005. He passed the qualifying bar exam in 2007 with an excellent result.

Dr. Adam Mikó started to work at the Szecskay Law Firm from 2003 as a candidate attorney. Following this, he worked as a notary candidate in the notary office of dr. Olga Kapási appointed to Downtown Budapest District V. After the qualifying exam he worked in the same office as a substitute notary. He became the permanent substitute of the Notarial Seat of Budapest District XVI. in the year of 2012. He was appointed as a notary by the Hungarian Minister of Justice in November, 2012.

He obtained an English professional legal language exam and an advanced level German language exam, he speaks both languages fluently. Dr. Adam Mikó also obtained English and German language licenses from the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries, thus he is also entitled to create notarial deeds in English and German languages. He speaks Italian on an intermediate level.

Dr. Adam Mikó has been representing the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries on numerous international conferences since 2005. He is the member of the Mortgage Law Working Group of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE) in Brussels. He was one of the Hungarian presenters of the XXVI. International Congress of Notaries in Marrakesh organized by the International Union of Notaries (UINL) in 2010. 
   
He has been representing the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries in the Hungarian Union of Professional Chambers since 2008.

He is a member of the editors committee of the official journal called “Notarius Hungaricus” issued by the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries. Since 2009 he has been representing the Hungarian notarial chambers on numerous media platforms (HírTV, Duna Television, RTL Klub, Tv2).

As an appreciation of his work within the notarial chamber he received the Certificate of Merit from the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries. In 2010 he was elected as the member of the Presidency of the Budapest Chamber of Notaries and he also became a member of the Board of the Chamber of Civil Law Notaries. From 2012 he is again a member of the Budapest Chamber of Notaries Presidency.

He is the author of numerous professional publications in Hungarian and English languages (see menu item Publications). In 2011 he issued a monograph called the “Royal Notaries of County Fejér and Székesfehérvár, The life and work of the notary, dr. János Kepes”.
In addition to his professional work he is one of the leaders of the Hungarian delegation participating in the Notarial Olympic Games organized yearly in Poland and in Slovakia and he is also one of the founding members of the Hungarian national football team of notaries. Since 2011 he is the artistic secretary of the Drama Group of Notaries and one of the main actors of the stage play called “Journey to Widowhood”.

 

Dr. Erika Steiner - Notary substitute

Dr. Erika Steiner received her law degree (Juris Doctor) at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Miskolc University in 2001. She passed the qualifying bar exam in 2007.

Dr. Erika Steiner was working within the framework of the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries from 1993 until 2004 as a legal executive and later as an international rapporteur. From 2004 she had been working as a candidate notary in the notarial office of dr. Adam Tóth in Budapest, and from 2007 she was a notary substitute in the same office. She is a substitute notary in the notarial office of dr. Adam Mikó since March, 2013.

Dr. Erika Steiner obtained an English professional legal language exam. In 2009 she also obtained an English language license from the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries, thus she is also entitled to create notarial deeds in English language. In 2013 she passed the French legal professional language exam with an excellent result. She speaks Italian on an intermediate level.

Since 1997 dr. Erika Steiner is a member of the editors committee of the official professional journal called “Journal of Notaries” issued by the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries. She is also a member of the French-Hungarian Joint Committee of the Hungarian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries.

 

Dr. Adrienn Makács - Notary candidate


Dr. Adrienn Makács received her law degree (Juris Doctor) at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Miskolc University in 2012. During the university years dr. Adrienn Makács was working on the Sciences Department of Civil Law as a demonstrator. Between 2012 and 2013 she had been working in the notarial office of dr. Viktor Máté in Budapest. She is a candidate notary in the notarial office of dr. Adam Mikó since March, 2014.

She has intermediate language exam from English.
 

Dr. Nóra Mikófalvi – Notary candidate

Dr. Nóra Mikófalvi received her law degree (Juris Doctor) at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University in 2013. Between 2008 and 2009 she studied two semesters in Strasbourg, France, where she attended the French Law Faculty of the University of Strasbourg.

During the university years she earned professional experience at Mikófalvi Law Firm. She is a candidate notary in the notarial office of dr. Adam Mikó since February, 2014.

She has intermediate language exams from English and French.
 

Dr. Peter Zimmermann - Notary candidate


Dr. Peter Zimmermann received his law degree (Juris Doctor) at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of theEötvös Loránd University in 2013. During his university years he spent two years in Austria, he studied germanistics at the Alpen-Adria University, Klagenfurt and law at the Paris Lodron University, Salzburg. He is a candidate notary in the notarial office of dr. Adam Mikó since February, 2014.

He has a German professional legal language exam.


Melinda Szabóné dr. Horvai - Notary candidate

Melinda Szabóné dr. Horvai received her law degree (Juris Doctor) at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Szeged University in 2009.

Between 2010 and 2012 she had been working in the notarial office of dr. László Hajdi. She is a candidate notary in the notarial office of dr. Adam Mikó since September, 2012.

She has intermediate language exams from English and French.

 

Judit Nagy – Legal assistant

Judit Nagy earned a chief executive clerk degree in 2000 and an accountant degree in 2003 during her studies. 

She started to work in the Legal Department of CIB Bank in 2000. Between 2002 and 2005 she was a legal assistant at the Kisling Law Firm. Since 2005 she has been working as a legal assistant in numerous notary offices.

She is a legal assistant in the notarial office of dr. Adam Mikó since July, 2012.

 

Noémi Turcsik-Abonyi – Legal assistant

After finishing the economic high school, Noémi Turcsik-Abonyi worked as a legal assistant at the Kovács Kázmér Law Firm. Since 2005 she has been working as a legal assistant in numerous notary offices.

She is a legal assistant in the notarial office of dr. Adam Mikó since April, 2013.
